The Emma Mae Gallery located just off the historic U Street corridor at 2000 14th St NW on the ground floor of the Reeves Center was founded by the Rev. Sandra Butler-Truesdale in honor of her mother Emma Mae Taylor Butler- Dorsey, father Tansil Butler  and The Taylor family for the preservation of this great music.
